The photo Below captures a pivotal moment in my journey: as a member of 42F King’s Lynn Air Training Corps, I was waiting to go flying for the first time in a Grob Tutor at RAF Wyton. The mix of nervousness and excitement was unforgettable—I had never flown before, and this was a dream come true.
That first flight was an adventure in itself. I remember taking control of the aircraft, but in my nervousness, I accidentally let go of the control stick without following proper procedure. The pilot quickly reminded me, “You didn’t say you have control!” It gave me quite a scare as I thought we might crash, but thankfully, the pilot regained control, and we landed safely.
The experience taught me an important lesson in communication and composure, and on my next flight, I made sure to correctly hand over control, saying, “You have control,” and hearing the reassuring response, “I have control.” The pilot’s encouragement and patience helped me develop a deep love for flying.
Today, I’m a passionate planespotter, filming and observing aircraft whenever I can. I also enjoy listening to pilots’ communications on my Uniden UBC125XLT and BCT15X scanners. My love for aviation extends to attending airshows—Clacton Airshow 2022 marked my third year attending, and it’s always a highlight of my calendar.

My First Holiday as an Adult:
In June 2023, I embarked on my first holiday abroad as an adult, just 33 days before my 30th birthday. I travelled to Club Cala Romani in Calas de Mallorca, Majorca, for seven unforgettable nights from 12th June to 19th June. Flying from London Stansted to Palma (PMI), I experienced the beauty of Majorca’s beaches, swimming pools, and breath-taking sea views. It was the best holiday of my adult life, and I can’t wait to return in the future.
My 2nd Holiday as an Adult:
In June 2024, I embarked on my 2nd holiday abroad as an adult, just 32 days before my 31st birthday. I Once Again travelled to Club Cala Romani in Calas de Mallorca, Majorca, this time it was for 10 days of unforgettable nights from 2nd June 2024 to 12th June. Flying from London Stansted to Palma (PMI), I once again experienced the beauty of Majorca’s beaches, swimming pools, and breath-taking sea views. It was my 2nd best holiday of my adult life, and I can’t wait to return in the future 🙂
